Join Mithun senior associate Michael Fiegenschuh for “Trending Now: Exodus from the Museum Field,” to explore why people are leaving the field in droves, what can be done to stop it, what accounts for staff dissatisfaction, and incentives beyond financial ones that will nurture and grow dedicated employees. Led by a panel with their feet in both the mission- and margin-driven worlds, this session will also consider ways to better engage our workforces by borrowing ideas from the private sector. Michael’s co-presenters include Museum of Glass curator Katie Buckingham; Artemis Fine Art Services design and production manager Taylor Felt; Chihuly Garden and Glass executive director Michelle Bufano; along with moderator, Seth Margolis, Museum of Flight director of education programs.
