Location:

Living Future unConference

Seattle, WA

Speaker:

Sandy Mendler

Date & Time:

05.19.2017 | 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

Roll up your sleeves and join Mithun partner Sandy Mendler in a collaborative process to envision public policy that supports the social justice and ecological imperatives of urban regeneration. Policy Hackathon will explore potential linkages between sustainable design tools and policy with a focus on strengthening equity and affordability outcomes. A policy map will be presented highlighting sustainable strategies that unintentionally work against equity and affordability in urban neighborhoods as the workplan for the session. The equity measures in the Living Community Challenge will be presented and tested as a framework to inform policy and financing tools so that sustainability and equity can be advanced as mutually supportive goals.

Sandy will be joined by Alicia Daniels Uhlig, Living Community Challenge and Policy Director for the International Living Future Institute.
