Bert Gregory, FAIA - Chairman & CEO at Mithun
As Chairman and CEO of Mithun, Bert has led Mithun to international recognition for concept-based, environmentally intelligent design, positive for people and place. Under his leadership, the firm has been honored with five Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top 10 Green Project awards, two American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) National Awards, a Sustainable Design Leadership Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), an AIA National Honor Award for Urban Design, two ULI Awards of Excellence, and the Local and Regional Leadership Award from the United States Green Building Council.

A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Bert plays an active design leadership role in projects with a focus on work in the urban realm including transit oriented development, mixed use, workplace, and urban design.

Bert serves as an international leader, speaker and advocate for sustainable building and urbanism, with recent lectures in Beijing, Jerusalem and Sarajevo. He served as Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s national Climate, Land Use and Energy Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of the USGBC LEED® for Neighborhood Development Core Committee, as an advisor to the National Building Museum’s Intelligent Cities Initiative, and as faculty of the EcoDistrict Institute. He currently serves on the Forterra Board of Directors as Chair, the ULI TOD Council, the Global EcoDistricts Protocol Advisory Committee, on the Clinton Climate Initiative’s Climate Positive Development Project Review Committee, and as an inaugural member of the Cascadia Congress of the Living Future Institute.
