Welcome to Pier 56

Our office in Seattle is a recycled industrial pier. Naturally lighted and ventilated and filled with views of Seattle’s port life, it embodies our sustainable values. The open layout encourages interaction among multiple disciplines where designers sit next to planners and scientists. Materials were selected for maximum efficiency, such as natural fiber flooring, 96 percent recycled carpet, reclaimed lumber and wheat board furniture. Surrounded by windows, we see the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains as a backdrop to our work. The blasts of ferry horns and cries of seagulls keep us connected to the outside world.

Special Projects Manager (Marketing/Support)

Mithun has a unique opportunity for a marketing and communications-oriented Special Projects Manager to manage and contribute to a variety of unique projects for senior level management. The position requires strong project management and communication skills, discretion and initiative to proactively anticipate needs of the team. The ability to interact and liaise with team members at all levels in a fast paced, design environment is critical. Thoughtful independent decision making ability; working autonomously; attention to details; ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously; and follow through on issues in a timely manner are extremely important.
