Public Relations/Communications Specialist
Location: Seattle
Mithun, a national leader in sustainable design and urbanism, seeks a Public Relations/Communications Specialist with experience in the Pacific Northwest architecture and design community to join our team. This position will play a key role in strategy, design, development and implementation of external communication projects that build awareness about Mithun and its brand including press releases, news stories, publications, brochures, cut sheets, award submittals, blogs and knowledge articles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert writing, editing and creative support for various communications materials from strategy to development to execution
- Manage and prioritize constant and evolving objectives and deadlines for communication projects firm-wide with a positive attitude
- Identify and pursue new PR ideas to keep tactics fresh, engaging and relevant to strategic goals and marketing objectives
- Manage target media list, monitor industry news and events and proactively develop media pitches
- Actively track PR performance, provide metrics when requested and make recommendations to increase efficiency
Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
- Minimum of three years relevant experience for architecture/design firms, preferably in the Pacific Northwest
- Proven expert creative, verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong planning, project management and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, diligent, responsive and professional, with exceptional follow through
- Thrive in a fast paced, team inspired environment
- MS Office proficiency
- Adobe InDesign CS3 highly desired
