An old park and ride in Seattle’s Northgate neighborhood will soon become a lush gathering place for this urban community. T Frick, landscape architect and project designer, describes the transformation of asphalt into green space, reclaiming the stories of a once rural area in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce article (subscription required):

"Our hope is that by giving this park back to the community, we're going to bring things that people can find and experience themselves,” she said. “And someday, they'll be speaking about it in that way; that's one of the biggest goals of the park."
