Mithun Wins INawards Honorable Mention from IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter
Mithun received an honorable mention for their interior design at Federal Way Regional Library at Monday’s INawards10 held at McCaw Hall. Presented by the IIDA Northern Pacific Chapter, the team was awarded for their design excellence and innovation in the Design IN Public category.
Building upon the library’s rich natural setting, the design team drew upon principles of transparency, daylighting, and connection in order to visually open the building to the outdoors while enhancing the functionality of the spaces inside. The interior pallet used nature as an inspiration, introducing organic saturated colors and bringing wood elements into the space.
