Ohio State University Seeks a Net Zero Climate Footprint
09.24.2010 Mithun, In The News

Mithun’s sustainable master planning work at The Ohio State University supports climate-neutrality goals and includes recommendations to support a more functional campus ecosystem, water management strategies, and a series of recommendations that integrate food, purchasing, waste, energy, carbon, transportation, research, curriculum and outreach. The plan builds upon concepts established by the university’s physical Framework Plan (by Sasaki Associates) and Energy & Infrastructure Plan (by AEI). Mithun’s project partners include Heapy Engineering and Yudelson Associates.
From ArchitectureLab.net:
“Master planning for campuses traditionally has been spatially and program based; today, master plans must be supportive of our natural systems by minimizing water and energy use and reducing the institution’s carbon footprint.”
