Seattle DJC: Goodwill to Build $10 Million Facility
According to Vice President and CFO, Michael Jurich, Seattle Goodwill hopes to start construction on a new job training and education center and administrative office complex south of downtown Seattle in early 2012. The project at Rainier Avenue South and South Dearborn Street will be 45,000- to 50,000 square feet and two to three stories. The overall cost, exclusive of the land, is about $10 million. The complex will expand Seattle Goodwill’s capacity for teaching and job training, and enable it to house its administrative staff on-site. Administrative functions are now temporarily above a Goodwill outlet store at another Seattle site. Mithun will design the complex and Bellevue-based Foushee and Associates will build it.
