Greenbuild 2009: Urban Food Systems

An educational session Urban Food Systems: From Vertical Agriculture to District-level Food Strategies will explore key dimensions of the urban food equation from the vertical farm to district scale production and distribution. Speakers will recap research activities on the relationships between vertical agriculture local food systems health climate change and social welfare. This session is moderated by Eden Brukman, Research Director at the Cascadia Region Green Building Council and features speakers Chris Jacobs, Creative Director of United Future, Critter Thompson, Systems Ecologist at Mithun, and Andy Fisher, Executive Director of Community Food Security Coalition.
