Greenbuild 2011: Experiencing Sustainability - Where Art and Metrics Meet

Can buildings and landscapes raise an individual’s sustainability IQ simply by force of intuitive resonance? From cisterns that display water data with dynamic graphics to places that come alive in the rain, wind or sun, this session uncovers how the marriage of art and science can more viscerally inform our knowledge of building performance and engagement between the built world and natural systems. Panelists will present built examples that instinctually facilitate people’s appreciation of place.
