Suquamish Community House Opening Ceremony

03.10.2009 the Suquamish Reservation @ 10am - 8pm

Be among the first to experience the 12,000 sf Mithun-designed modern take on the traditional log house

The new 12,000 sf Suquamish House of Awakened Culture creates a core cultural icon on the shores of the Suquamish reservation, serving as a beacon and resource to both tribal members and visitors. The design evokes the character and spirit of traditional longhouse buildings while reflecting contemporary building materials, technology and construction methods to ensure a long-lasting, sustainable resource for the Suquamish people.
