Salish Lodge and Spa
Overview
Expansion of this historic inn in the Cascade Mountains included 91 luxury guest rooms, a four-star dining room, conference center, library and country store. In creating the spa, the owners wanted to capture the spirit of the Pacific Rim, combining indigenous Northwest materials with traditional Japanese forms.
Indigenous building materials were used to complement the natural character of the building. Artists were contracted to create many hand-crafted elements to evoke Eastern craftsmanship and rigorous detailing.
Mithun provided interior design services for the spa only.
