South Lincoln - 10th & Osage Redevelopment

A master plan for the Denver Housing Authority creating a mixed-income community

South Lincoln - 10th & Osage Redevelopment

Overview

Mithun completed a comprehensive master plan for the revitalization of Denver Housing Authority’s South Lincoln Homes – 10th & Osage TOD community in anticipation of recently awarded HOPE VI funds. Located at the South Lincoln/10th and Osage Redevelopment Area in downtown Denver, the scope included an extensive public outreach process to inform the design, including community charrettes, health impact assessment, public workshops, Healthy Development Measurement Tool (HDMT) customization and CulturalAuditâ„¢. The final master plan includes replacing obsolete, inefficient housing with a vibrant, environmentally and economically sustainable, mixed-income community and will utilize mixed-use opportunities adjacent to an existing light rail station to create an equitable transit-oriented development.

The first phase of the redevelopment, a 100 unit, mixed use, sustainable senior community at the northwest corner of the site, broke ground in September. Phase One was funded by an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Competitive Energy Modernization Grant.
