Located at the foot of Nashville's famous country music promenade within a civic park along the Cumberland River, the Ascend Amphitheater evokes the character of the city's 19th century limestone civic structures, cast iron bridges and ever-present musical heritage.
Alignment and Audience
The stage structure gestures towards the river, while a stone base defines and amplifies the natural materials used throughout the surrounding park. As seen from the audience, the amphitheater provides a dynamic expression of Nashville’s music history while framing the city’s dramatic skyline.
Diverse Programs and Performances
The amphitheater accommodates diverse performance and community events. The facility features an artist wing specifically designed for the spouses and children of artists, who often travel with their families, as well as crew dining facilities, offices and a dining event space which opens to a terrace. During non-event days, the surrounding park, including restrooms and concessions, are available to visitors.
