Join Mithun partner Deb Guenther for “Design Matters When Healing Communities,” a discussion about the work of Mithun and Gonzales Goodale Architect with non-profit developers LA Family Housing and Many Mansions, focusing on the need for, and possibility of, quality supportive housing strengthening neighborhoods and the community’s fabric. This approach includes overcoming NIMBY-ism through community outreach and engagement; political leadership buy-in and support; investment in quality and innovative buildings and landscape; the coordination and implementation of supportive services and social interaction; and the creation of successful Community Assets which heal the client and neighborhood at large. All of these can be achieved by design.
