Join Mithun associate principal and landscape architect Dakota Keene for “Designing Great Cities,” a discussion addressing the elements of design underlying the cities and places we love and how those principles can be used to design great cities. Incorporating global and local perspectives on the topic, Dakota’s keynote presentation and the following panel discussion will explore how design influences transportation, public art and culture, social equity, and safety. Panelists include: Kelli Badesheim, Executive Director of Valley Regional Transit; Karen Bubb, Cultural Planner with Boise City Department of Arts & History; Nora Carpenter, President and CEO of United Way of Treasure Valley; Alison Tate, Operations Support Commander of Boise Police Department; and Ellen Campfield Nelson, Principal with Agnew::Beck.
