The new 401 East Pike building at The Northwest School received the special Judges Award at the 2014 NAIOP Annual ‘Night of the Stars’ Award Gala. Providing architectural, landscape architecture and interior design services, Mithun combined a theater, dining hall, gymnasium and rooftop sports court in a tight urban site in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The judges noted that, “from rooftop activities… [to windows] in the gymnasium… to the cafeteria that spills out onto [the sidewalk], this project ingeniously activates the street and city neighborhood.”
