The relocation of Weyerhaeuser to a new 200,000 square-foot headquarters in Pioneer Square was recently featured in an article in The Registry describing the neighborhood’s development revival. In order to preserve the unique architectural character of this area, Weyerhaeuser’s new home was designed by Mithun to be “respectful of the past without being a mimicry of the historic detail,” explains Project Director Bill LaPatra. Located adjacent to Occidental Park, the building’s indoor and outdoor spaces will be connected, bringing new life into the park and surrounding public spaces.
