The San Francisco housing affordability crisis has been the topic of discussion among residents for years and is particularly daunting in the Mission District, a historically working class neighborhood. Rising rents and displacement pressures are making it harder for existing residents to stay in their homes while accommodating a growing population. But the future may be brighter. New developments including 2060 Folsom, a new affordable housing project Mithun is currently designing, are planned for the neighborhood and a community plan is underway.
Join Mithun Partner Anne Torney for Building a Future for All: Housing Tour of the Mission, a walking tour co-hosted by San Francisco Housing Coalition and the Emerging Leaders Peer Network. Participants will explore existing affordable and market-rate housing developments, learn about the plans for several other sites and hear about Mission Action Plan (MAP) 2020.
