UC Irvine Mesa Court Towers Opens to Freshmen

Date Posted: 09.19.2016

On September 13 Mithun joined UC Irvine to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Mesa Court Towers, a new 834-bed student life complex and the first-high rise dormitory for the university. First-year students moved in that weekend. The community includes three residential towers housing first-year students in a mix of flexible triple and quad rooms. Amenities including a two-story great room, dining commons, a study pavilion, group kitchens and fitness center help foster student interaction and collaboration.

Mithun and Hensel Phelps utilized a collaborative design/build delivery method that aligned cost effectiveness, schedule efficiency and design quality at each step of the design and delivery process, enabling completion of the project to happen 28 months after award of contract.
