We are excited to announce Mithun’s participation in the International Living Future Institute’s JUST program, a voluntary disclosure tool for organizations seeking to improve social equity and enhance operations. JUST is not a certification program, but rather a transparency platform for organizations to share information about their operations, including how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments.
The program aligns closely with Mithun’s mission and values, and provides a framework for our continuous efforts to support staff and advance Design for Positive Change. Through our transparent reporting on JUST’s 22 indicators—including diversity, equity, safety, worker benefit, local benefit and stewardship—we are able track our own progress and inform the efforts of other organizations nationally. Two Mithun initiatives that are featured on our JUST label, completed this past May, include Mithun’s paid parental leave and community volunteer time policies.
Community Volunteering
As a mission-driven firm committed to creating positive change through our design, Mithun has long supported our team members being actively engaged in the communities where we live and work. We believe that participating in volunteer activities creates positive impacts for society, and provides important personal growth and leadership opportunities. To support community volunteerism, Mithun provides up to 16 hours of paid volunteer time annually for employees’ work with 501(c)(3) organizations of their choice.
