Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) received an International Living Future Institute (ILFI) 2021 Stephen R. Kellert Biophilic Design Award at the Living Future 21 conference on April 23rd. The annual award is presented in recognition of biophilic design achievements in the built environment that demonstrate Kellert’s understanding of the human/nature connection.
The awards jury commented on the museum design’s “success in transforming the perception of the environment” and “weaving multi-sensory, information-rich engagement opportunities throughout the entire of experience of the museum, both indoors and outdoors.”
