Graduate school can be intense and stressful. In recent years there has been an increased focus on graduate housing and the need to develop communities that can provide critical support in the face of social isolation and stresses many graduate students experience. Housing departments are working to create affordable on-campus housing with a mix of physical and program supports to help students thrive during their graduate studies.

Join Mithun partner Bill LaPatra for “Creating Housing to Support Thriving in Graduate School” to explore tools and techniques to create vibrant places and spaces for graduate student residential communities. The recently completed University of California Irvine Verano 8 Graduate Student Housing will serve as a featured case study.

Bill’s co-presenters include UC Irvine assistant vice chancellor for student housing Tim Trevan, UC Irvine senior director of facilities operations and capital projects Melissa Falkenstien, and UC Irvine associate director of apartment life at Verano Place Housing Jennifer Nelson Martinez.
