One of four sessions in AIA Seattle’s 2024 Climate Summit, “Fostering Green Infrastructure” will explore how just, climate-resilient green and blue infrastructure systems can be supported at multiple scales, from policy and research to regional and citywide planning to building and site-scale implementation. The panel will consider blue-green infrastructure in an expansive sense – encompassing both the physical systems that support cities (like utilities and forests) as well as their intersections with the people who plan, implement, manage and benefit from those systems.

Mithun senior associate Laura Durgerian will moderate the discussion. Panelists include US Water Alliance CEO Mami Hara, US Forest Service national program lead for urban sustainability research Phillip Rodbell, and City of Seattle Indigenous planning strategist Tim Lehman.
