The Shoreline Parks Improvement Project brought together eight unique park sites under one Progressive Design-Build (PDB) contract, creating a unified effort to expand recreation opportunities across the City of Shoreline. Improvements range from a new accessible boardwalk in the city’s botanical garden, to fully inclusive playgrounds, to the community’s first spray parks.
Join Mithun senior associate Kasia Keeley for the panel discussion “Shoreline Park Improvement: 8 Unique Projects, 1 PDB Team,” to hear from members of the PDB project team as they share how flexibility, creativity and openness — hallmarks of the progressive design-build process — have been essential to navigating diverse sites, balancing community needs and driving the project’s success to date. Attendees will learn strategies for coordinating multiple project sites and scopes under a single design-build team, while maintaining efficiency and alignment.
Kasia’s co-presenters are FORMA Construction senior project engineer Alex Niemi, KPFF principal Puja Kashyap, and KPFF civil engineering designers Marta Galambos and Sam Johnson.
