Antonio is an astute observer, and brings a passion for investigating the relationship of architecture and nature and how we define community in the 21st century. His creative ideas and inspiring design create a sense of place that poetically integrates and balances culture and ecology using sustainable practices. With more than 20 years of experience, Antonio’s award-winning work on hospitality, institutional and residential projects connects to his interest in visitor experience and long term thinking and planning.

As staff architect under New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Antonio helped draft an executive order requiring all new or renovated state buildings to achieve a minimum of  LEED silver certification, and establishing green guidelines for all residential construction. He is an instructor at the UC Berkeley Extension in the Sustainable Design program.
