Intimate Landscapes & Urban Abstractions, featuring work by Dick Busher, a photographer and book publisher based in Seattle, will be on display through January 26 at Threshold Gallery. Please join us for an opening reception with the artist on Thursday, December 7, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The primary subjects for Dick’s work are nature and abstract images of the urban environment. He finds it gratifying to create an image that gives viewing pleasure to others, and, in some cases, making them wonder what it is that they are exactly seeing. Photographing objects and blowing up the print much larger than life also takes the image out of context, adding another dimension to the subject.
Threshold Gallery was established by Mithun in 2008 to connect people with art, artists and the built environment, as well as to inspire and drive our work as designers. The gallery is located within Mithun’s offices at Pier 56 on the Seattle Waterfront, and is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
