Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are commonly cited today, but what do they really mean? An introduction will provide an overview of the current state of the profession and why DEI matters.
Join Mithun partner Debra Guenther for “Equity and Inclusion in Practice: How Do We Get There?” to learn why diversity, equity and inclusion are important to the profession of landscape architecture. Panelists will share exemplary practices they are using to recruit new voices and build inclusive practices, examining the challenges and successes of different approaches. Attendees can learn unique strategies to help academic and professional recruitment efforts and gain insight into institutional tools available to support and quantify efforts to improve diversity, equity and inclusion.
Deb’s co-presenters are Florida International University associate professor Roberto Rovira, and Saskaki principal and chair of landscape architecture, civil engineering and ecology Michael Grove.
