As we pause business as usual during this current pandemic, we have an opportunity to reimagine how we design buildings and communities for resilience in the face of global health threats as well as increasingly frequent climate-driven disasters. With the global spread of human epidemics such as COVID-19, it is clear that that designing for health will be critically necessary. “The New Resilience: How the Global Pandemic will Influence Building and Community Design,” is a one-day, online summit that will bring design, public health and urban planning experts together to talk about what we are learning from the current health crisis and how this experience might influence how we design the built environment in the future.
