For 2021, the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Environment and Climate Network recognized six museums as exemplars in the field of museum sustainability, advancing thoughtful museum practice while operating under the additional constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. This session is the first of two webinars created to share the thought processes, lessons learned and encouraging takeaways from this year’s Sustainability Excellence Awards winners, museums of all scopes and sizes leading the industry to a more sustainable future.
Join Mithun partner Rich Franko and Louisiana Children’s Museum CEO Julia Bland for the “Sustainability Excellence Awards Winners’ Webinar: Insights and Inspiration” to learn about the unique vision, the integrated design process and sustainable results at Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM). The presentation will share key strategies tailored for LCM’s mission and the New Orleans environment, as well as outline replicable approaches for creating successful, high-performing museums that are deeply connected to their settings and communities.
