The Cascadia Lecture series is part of graduate-level curriculum for urban design and landscape architecture programs at the University of Texas at Austin. For this presentation, Mithun senior associate Brad Barnett (urban design) and principal Dakota Keene (landscape architecture) will discuss recent and ongoing projects that exemplify investigation of future urbanisms, bridging multiple scales of intervention and impact. Key topics include planning for regional growth, sea level rise and climate change, community engagement case studies, the role of public private partnerships in urban design and neighborhood open space, and planning for vibrant, transit-oriented neighborhoods.
