The American Planning Association (APA) Sustainable Communities Division (SCD) annual Awards for Excellence in Sustainability honor projects, plans, policies, individuals and organizations whose work is dedicated to supporting and growing sustainable communities. For this webinar, presenters representing three of the 2023 award-winning projects will speak about their exemplary plans, and APA-SCD representatives will provide an overview of the 2024 awards process.
Join Mithun partner Erin Christensen Ishizaki for “Award-Winning Sustainability 2023” to learn about the Sun Valley Healthy Living Initiative and “SOL” Phase 3 Health Action Plan (Denver, Colorado). She will share highlights about the relationship between planning, the built environment and community well-being outcomes at Sun Valley, and replicable approaches for integrating a health equity impact assessment with planning projects in other communities.
Additional projects that will be featured in this webinar are Rancho Cucamonga General Plan and Climate Action Plan, and the City of San Luis Obispo Climate Action Plan for Community Recovery.
