Mithun is honored to support Heirloom in their efforts to bring two new Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities to northwest Louisiana with a combined ability to remove nearly 320,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year. The first facility at the Port of Caddo-Bossier in Shreveport will begin construction later this year and is anticipated to be operational in 2026.

Mithun is providing architecture, landscape architecture and interior design services for this DAC facility, the firm’s second for Heirloom. Additional design team members include PAE, MEPF; KPFF Consulting Engineers, structural; and Moffatt & Nichol, civil.
With this project, Heirloom is continuing its rapid progress in building one of the world’s most affordable carbon removal solutions with the ability to scale to eliminate billions of tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere. Learn more via Heirloom.
