Fostering Community on the Front Range

Colorado School of Mines Residence Hall VII

Golden, CO

A New Housing Model

Located along a primary gateway, this new residence hall is a welcoming cornerstone in Mines’ new South Campus precinct. Apartment-style units are paired with extensive amenities to meet the unique needs of second-year students as they transition to independent living, and also attract upper-level students to on-campus living.

Offering Diverse Choices

A range of unit types offer students choices that balance privacy and shared space. Lounges on each floor extend the living space and cultivate a sense of belonging. At the ground level, a retail-oriented dining hall and robust amenity suite provide essential student resources and cultivate a vibrant social atmosphere for the community.

Embracing Wellbeing and the Outdoors

The building’s natural materiality and color palette along with dramatic views of the Front Range and South Table Mountain celebrate the surrounding landscape. Integrated outdoor spaces and fitness areas support holistic wellbeing — fostering physical, mental and social health while promoting environmental stewardship.
