Washington jurisdictions face unprecedented planning workloads — from periodic comprehensive plan updates and housing implementation to development code modernization and increasingly complex public process demands — often with limited staff capacity.
Join Mithun senior associate Sandra Girgis for “Limited Staff, Big Mandates: Building Planning Commissions That Improve Local Planning Decisions,” to explore how stronger planning commission preparation, leadership and staff support can improve hearing quality, sharpen policy recommendations and help local governments make better and more durable planning decisions.
Sandra’s co-presenter is City of Kirkland planning commissioner Rodney Rutherford, City of Vancouver’s Erik Paulson and City of Tukwila’s Neil Tabor.
