How can planners and designers select and apply the right community engagement approaches at different stages of climate resilience projects to build trust, support meaningful participation and foster long-term community stewardship?
Join Mithun designer Koushik Srinath for the session “Infrastructure, Informality and Urban Change,” to learn about the firm’s ongoing research initiative, “Beyond Feedback: Frameworks for Community Stewardship in Climate Resilience Planning.” This paper explores a practical framework for community engagement in climate resilience planning, helping design teams align participation strategies with project goals, community needs and long-term stewardship to support more inclusive and effective adaptation outcomes. Koushik’s co-authors include Mithun associate Monserratt Cortes Macias and Mithun designer Srusti Shah.
Kent State University assistant professor of architecture and urban design Paul Mosley will moderate the research-focused session, which incorporates four papers.
