Some affordable housing providers that we work with in the Bay Area have had to discontinue on-site food pantries as part of current pandemic response. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is facing an unprecedented challenge to support these vulnerable residents who are currently food insecure as well as actively preparing to support those who may now be facing hunger as a result of lost hours, wages or jobs. Learn about their COVID-19 response initiatives including pop-up and drive-through pantries, and how you can help: https://www.sfmfoodbank.org/response-to-covid19/ (clickable link in bio). đź“·: @brucedamonte

With homeless people at high risk of severe health impacts during the coronavirus outbreak, our friends at Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) and @SawhorseRevolution are working with the city and county to rapidly build and expand tiny house villages in the Greater Seattle area. Thank you for all that you’re doing to create shelter and safe haven for more of our fellow residents! Consider adding your support to these efforts – tiny houses cost at least $2,700 to develop, and organizations rely upon donations and volunteer labor to make it happen. Images are of our Wunderbar Recycled House, a current Sawhorse Revolution project designed in collaboration with students at Franklin High School and our colleagues at LMN Architects and Graphite Design Group. Gray Magazine includes Sanctuary Studios among The Best Things We Saw Last Month: “Sanctuary might have finally cracked the code on using tech as a tool for finding presence in the real world. And, it doesn’t hurt that their studio is kitted out in swank, immersive décor with rich textures, dramatic lighting, and bold, saturated color. Walking into Sanctuary feels like being transported to your own private micro-retreat where nothing—and nobody—can distract.” Thanks, @gray_magazine! 📷: Lauren Segal
