Interior Designer

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Interior Designer to join Mithun. As a member of the Interior Design team, you will be a pivotal part of connecting people to place, through intentional and memorable experiences. You will also work in an interdisciplinary environment to anticipate and address the challenges of the future. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project typologies including creative workplace and hospitality, cultural and educational environments and urban multi-family, affordable and student housing. You will gain experience working in a collaborative environment and engage on projects from concept development to construction administration. We collaborate in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Mondays and Fridays are flexible workdays that allow employees to work in the office or from home.

Role & Responsibilities
- Practice a concept-based approach to interior design.
- Collaborate with multiple disciplines throughout the design process.
- Contribute to our mission, Design for Positive Change, including through sustainability and JEDI initiatives.
- Act as a primary design interface with clients and consultants.
- Produce concept imagery, diagrams and sketches, space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentation.
- Select interior finishes, furniture and equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
- Coordinate with project teams, complete projects on schedule and within established budgets, and track project time daily.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, interior architecture or related field.
- 5+ years of professional interior design experience.
- Ability to create design rendering and design presentations.
- Experience working closely with clients and building client relationships.
- Experience mentoring team members.
- Understanding of sustainable concepts and application.
- Experience with Revit.
Nice-to-haves (but not required)
- A commitment to sustainability.
- NCIDQ, LEED, WELL or Fitwell accreditation a plus.
- Previous experience with workplace, educational or housing-related projects.
- Thorough knowledge of market design trends.

Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Savings Accounts are available based on eligibility requirements. Paid time off includes eight holidays and vacation accrual of up two weeks per year. The expected range of compensation for this role is $73,000 – $95,000 per year. Pay ranges differ by location.
