Project Architect

We are seeking Project Architects or Architectural Designers with 10+ years of experience working on education/school-based projects. As a member of our integrated design team, you will work alongside other Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Urban Planners to advance design & technical excellence, environmental performance and social justice on a range of K-12 and Higher Education projects.
We currently collaborate in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays can be in-office or WFH for most roles.

Requirements
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary design teams.
- Explore and develop quality design ideas and innovative, thoughtful solutions, that address project goals aligned with Mithun’s values and approach.
- Produce detailed architectural documentation for all phases of the design process, including plans, sections, elevations, and details, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Generate high-quality design drawings, graphic design work, renderings and visualizations to support design projects and marketing pursuits.
- May participate in project pursuits, client presentations and community engagement activities.
- May coordinate multiple consultants and engineered systems.
- Coach and mentor project team staff.
- Work effectively as both a team member and independently.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
- 10+ years of post-graduate professional experience, including significant experience on K-12 or Higher Education-based projects.
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills.
- Experience in all phases of the design and documentation processes. Construction administration experience is a plus.
- Flexible to play multiple roles across varied project types.
- Adept at building information modeling.
- Demonstrated strong concept-based approach to design and enthusiasm for sustainable and innovative design solutions.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Proficient in Revit, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Lumion, Enscape, Grasshopper, Rhino, SketchUp and GIS is helpful.
- Architectural registration is a plus.

We offer eight paid holidays, vacation accrual of two weeks per year, sick time accrual, and paid volunteer time. Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Savings Accounts are available based on eligibility requirements. The expected range of compensation for this role is $92,000 – 110,000 per year. Actual salaries are based on experience, qualifications, internal equity and location.
