Project Architect, Construction Administration
San Francisco
We are seeking a Project Architect with 12+ years of experience to join Mithun and lead projects during the Construction Administration Phase. As a member of our integrated design team, you will work alongside other Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Urban Planners to advance design & technical excellence, environmental performance and social justice on a range of projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of project typologies with a focus on urban multi-family, affordable and student housing.
We currently collaborate in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays can be in-office or WFH for most roles.

Requirements
- Lead projects during the Construction Administration Phase.
- Join project teams during the Construction Documents Phase, reviewing drawings for constructability and assisting in technical detailing.
- Provide mentorship and act as a technical resource in all phases of design and construction for the office as a whole.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary design teams.
- Work effectively as both a team member and independently.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
- 12+ years of post-graduate professional experience with demonstrated depth in construction administration.
- Significant knowledge of architectural detailing, specifically wood-framed construction. Some experience in Type 1 detailing is also a plus.
- Interest and experience in active mentoring of more junior staff.
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Revit, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Architectural registration.

The expected range of compensation for this role is $100,000 - $127,000 per year. Pay ranges differ by location.
