The college’s first ever housing project addresses a broad spectrum of student needs with permanently affordable prices and diverse amenity spaces. The campus-edge building is tailored to support retention, foster deeper student engagement and strengthen the college community.

Home Away from Home

At the junction of two residential hall wings is a community gathering zone with an exposed system of mass timber columns, beams and CLT panels — providing a warm, biophilic atmosphere for student life. The flexible space for dining, study and socialization includes large, shared kitchens that support individual choice and affordability for students.

Weaving Nature into the Design

The ground-floor Living Room features an operable wall system that opens to a covered porch and expansive courtyard, effectively doubling space for large functions and streamlining move-in access. Intimate spaces in the landscape capitalize on the Southern California climate and maximize function within the budget.
