Inspired by Place and Students

The airy pavilion opens onto the surrounding landscape, taking advantage of the warm local climate and capturing views to the Columbia River. Funded by students, for students, the center is a flexible hub for events, study, student government and recreation. Exterior materials draw inspiration from the site; interior spaces are activated by WSU’s crimson and gray.

Hub of Activity

The student union creates a focal point for students to gather, study and engage in WSU Tri-Cities community life. Lounge spaces flow from inside to outside, inviting students to relax between classes, socialize and participate in programs.

Maximizing Value and Impact

The collaborative design-build effort maximized value for the university through cost-effective construction, expanded program area, reduced maintenance costs and accelerated project delivery. The student union enhances the campus experience, connecting buildings on each side of the central campus green and providing a vibrant community heart for its growing student body.
