Expanding Programs

This new academic building holds Northwest University’s growing nursing and science department with courses in the traditional and environmental sciences, and a food production program for developing countries. The design reflects the department’s blend of formal and informal activities, and enhances educational delivery for these high-demand fields.

Dynamic Learning Hub

In addition to technical research labs and formal classrooms, the building’s corridors support informal learning with ample natural daylight and flexible seating areas that support collaboration, study and socialization. These casual gathering areas and a large lecture hall draw students from across campus, strengthening a sense of community.

Campus Connections

The building design works with existing trees and the site’s steep slope to maximize programmatic efficiency and potential views, and gracefully enhance the surrounding landscape. Located in the academic core of campus, the building also helps form an important and much-needed central open space for the campus.
