Sustainability Treehouse Receives AIA Northwest and Pacific Region Design Award

The Sustainability Treehouse was honored with a Citation Award at this year’s AIA Northwest and Pacific Region Design Awards. Jason Steiner accepted the award on behalf of Mithun at the annual banquet held Thursday, September 24, in Bozeman, Montana. The AIA Northwest and Pacific Region Design Awards program celebrates the best architectural designs, representing the finest standards in sustainability, innovation, building performance, and overall integration with client and surrounding community.

Located in Mount Hope, West Virginia, Sustainability Treehouse is an icon of outdoor adventure, environmental stewardship and high performance building design. Standing at 125-feet-tall, the 3,400 square-foot structure is a hands-on sustainability education center, encouraging visitors to climb, explore and observe nature in new ways.
