This session will explore the origins intertwined with sustainability at the House of Awakened Culture and the Suquamish Museum. As part of a re-thinking of the cultural district within the Suquamish reservation, these two projects were catalysts for living culture and community gathering, exemplifying cultural inspiration as well as high-performing sustainable buildings and landscapes.

Mithun’s Richard Franko and Dakota Keene will be panelists on Sustainability, Culture and Legacy at the House of Awakened Culture and the Suquamish Museum at this year’s Tribal Green Summit. Suquamish Tribal Chairman Leonard Forsman will moderate and participate in this discussion focusing on the impact of the projects culturally, for the tribe, and their environmental sustainability performance.
