Two Mithun projects were recognized with honor awards from the Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (WASLA) 2016 Professional Awards program. The awards event was held November 3rd at Novelty Hill Januik Winery, also designed by Mithun.
Chatham University Eden Hall Campus received an Honor Award in the General Design over $500,000 Construction Budget category. The awards jury described Eden Hall Campus as a “stunning project that was thoughtfully designed, [and] a site that inspires and educates visitors. The hardscapes are very well done and allow the productive landscape to be center stage.”
Wanapum Heritage Center also received an Honor Award in the General Design over $500,000 Construction Budget category. The jury found “a deep appreciation for the restrained materials palette [which], when combined with impeccable restoration, allowed for this project to reflect and honor the values of the Wanapum people.”
