Join Mithun associate principal Chi Aoyama for “Career Ladder.” As the first discussion in a new series hosted by AIA Seattle Asian American Designers Union (AADU-S), Career Ladder invites Asian American designers and other designers in leadership positions to share their experiences and career insights with students, recent graduates, as well as young and seasoned professionals. The series aims to create a space to reconnect designers and professionals within our communities, to advocate for the Asian American presence and experience in the design industry, and to render a better understanding of the influences that diverse Asian cultures have had on architectural approach and practice. Acknowledging the intersectionality of all our experiences and struggles, the event welcomes the voices and stories of all members of the architecture and design community.

Chi’s co-panelists include Rolluda Architects owner Alex Rolluda, Schemata Workshop founding principal Grace Kim and Studio 19 Architects owner Hui Tian. Kailin Wang of AADU-S will moderate the discussion.
