The Bush School New Upper School is a PHIUS+2018 project that will become the first Passive House school on the West Coast and the largest west of the Mississippi River. Early in design, the team evaluated multiple sustainability certification programs, and ultimately chose Phius certification as the best means towards a low energy, low carbon goal.

Join Mithun partner Brendan Connolly and principal Dan Swaab for “Passive House as a Protected Resource” to learn about approaches utilized to protect sustainable systems and Phius certification during value engineering efforts. This case study offers the development community a replicable model for other passive and high-performance projects.

Brendan and Dan’s co-presenter is PAE associate Dan Luddy.
