Dustann is a thoughtful architect and designer with a passion for creating cultural, civic and educational facilities that facilitate new ways of seeing and experiencing the world. His past experience as a timber framer informs his commitment to craft and love of natural materials and expressive structure. In award-winning projects like the Wanapum Heritage Center and Sustainability Treehouse, landscape, building and interpretive elements are interwoven to reveal vivid, immersive stories of culture and ecology, connected to place.

Dustann’s rigorous attention to detail shines in features like custom door handles at the National Nordic Museum, as well as his ability to help teams successfully navigate the intricacies of LEED and Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification requirements. He is an active member of community organizations and contributes to the development of the next generation of designers both within the firm and as a member of the University of Oregon Professional Advisory Group.
